Job description

Our client is searching for a temporary Project Accountant to join their team. You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our projects. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $31 to $41 per hour.
Job Description:

  • Handling sales and use tax affidavits for multiple jurisdictions.
  • Researching sales and use tax laws and regulations to support project setup.
  • Reviewing actual costs to ensure accurate project cost allocation and variance analysis against forecasts.
  • Managing general contractor billings.
  • Processing subcontractor payments.
  • Preparing unconditional and conditional lien releases for subcontractors.
  • Posting receipts.
  • Notifying project managers.
  • Researching discrepancies.
Qualifications:
  • A college/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience is generally expected for this role.
  • Sales and use tax multi-state experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Devising new solutions to encountered problems.
  • Independently performing most assignments with instruction.
