Whether you work at our headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove (BGTC) in Asheville, North Carolina, Blue Ridge Broadcasting (BRB) in Asheville, North Carolina or a field office abroad, you are part of a team of committed Christians working together to reach people to the ends of the earth with the Gospel.

CHRISTIAN PURPOSE AND EXPECTATIONS:

Department Detail – The Billy Graham Library supports the mission of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to proclaim the Gospel to all we can by every effective means available to us, and by equipping the church and others to do the same. Our staff and volunteers present the Gospel through the Journey of Faith tour, Memorial Prayer Garden, Homeplace, and evangelistic outreaches like Christmas at the Library. We also serve and equip Christians through Ruth’s Attic bookstore, Graham Brothers Dairy Bar, group programs, special events, memorabilia displays, student resources, communications, and donor ministry activities.

Job Summary – The Administrative Assistant Associate supports the Executive Director's office by serving as the backup to the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director. This position facilitates communication between the Executive Director's office and BGEA departments, vendors, and special guests, ensuring seamless coordination while fostering a positive, Christ-centered environment that reflects the organization's mission and values. The Administrative Assistant Associate prepares and maintains confidential reports, documents, and correspondence, exercising discretion, professionalism, and tact in handling sensitive information. This is a seasonal position that runs from mid-September 2026 through mid-March 2027.

Ministry Requirements

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
  • Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
  • Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
  • Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedules and coordinates VIP tours, meetings, and visits for special guests as requested by the Executive Director, Executive Office, and other departments, working in coordination with the appropriate Library departments
  • Serves as host to special guests, at the direction of or in the absence of the Executive Director, in coordination with all appropriate BGEA departments
  • Provides administrative support to the Executive Director, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and making travel arrangements
  • Prepares and coordinates meeting materials, presentations, and reports
  • Prepares and maintains confidential reports, documents, and correspondence
  • Initiates and reconciles purchases for Executive Director’s office, following determined procedures
  • Prepares and edits correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of the Executive Directo
  • Maintains effective communication strategies to ensure seamless information flow
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure effective collaboration and communication
  • Develops an understanding of the ministry and operational processes of Billy Graham Library

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
  • Has no supervisory responsibilities
