Job description

Chandler and Campbelle Investment Group (CCD), in partnership with Vanderlande Industries, is hiring temporary Field Installation Technicians to support the Eppley Airfield Terminal Modernization Program in Omaha, Nebraska. This temporary assignment may last up to approximately 22 months and offers a pay rate of $29 per hour. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, possess valid government-issued identification, and be able to read and write in English.

This role is hands-on and physically demanding, supporting the installation, alignment, and assembly of critical airport infrastructure systems such as conveyors, platforms, and catwalks. Technicians will work in active construction environments and may be required to work extended shifts ranging from 8 to 16 hours depending on project needs. All applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a TSA-issued airport badge and successfully pass all background requirements before starting.

The Field Installation Technician will read and interpret blueprints, schematics, layout plans, and manuals to determine proper installation procedures. Responsibilities include moving, loading, transporting, and unloading machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers, forklifts, and trucks. Technicians will assemble and install mechanical equipment, use hand and power tools along with alignment instruments, and secure machinery to foundations or structures through bolting, welding, or similar methods.

This position requires strict adherence to safety procedures, prompt response to safety alerts or hazards, and strong communication with supervisors, teammates, and contractors. Technicians must follow all project rules, maintain awareness of their surroundings, and contribute to safe jobsite practices at all times.

Qualified candidates must have OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, at least two years of forklift operation experience, and at least one year of experience working from elevated man-lifts. Applicants should be proficient in reading technical drawings, performing alignment procedures, and working with optical or laser alignment tools. The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, balance on scaffolding, and work at heights or in confined areas. Strong hearing, vision, and depth perception are essential for operating in mechanical and construction settings. Experience with transit and leveling equipment is considered a plus.

Work may occur in varying temperatures, weather conditions, and fast-paced construction areas. This is a temporary opportunity to contribute to the modernization of Eppley Airfieldโ€™s terminal systems and be part of a major infrastructure upgrade. Apply today to join CCDโ€™s field team and support the next generation of airport operations.
