We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, creating accurate production drawings, and preparing files that become real-world products. This role bridges engineering, design, and manufacturing.
Position Summary
The CAD & Digital Production Specialist is responsible for creating production-ready shop drawings, preparing artwork for large-format printing, and supporting manufacturing through accurate digital files.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Project Managers, Production, CNC operators, and Print Production to ensure every project moves efficiently from concept to finished product.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical drafting and graphic production—not just one or the other.
Responsibilities
· Create detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD.
· Develop production drawings for fabrication and installation.
· Prepare print-ready files using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
· Review customer artwork for production accuracy.
· Set up files for large-format digital printing.
· Prepare cut files for CNC routers and digital cutting equipment.
· Verify dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
· Create production layouts and nesting when applicable.
· Coordinate with Project Managers and Sales to resolve technical questions.
· Support production by troubleshooting file or drawing issues.
· Maintain drawing standards, templates, and digital asset libraries.
· Assist with continuous improvement of production workflows.
Qualifications
Required
· 2+ years of AutoCAD experience
· Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
· Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to read architectural drawings
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred
· Experience in large-format printing or signage
· Knowledge of dye-sublimation printing
· Experience preparing CNC/router cutting files
· Familiarity with SEG graphics or retail displays
· Experience with fabrication drawings
· Basic understanding of Revit or 3D CAD
· Bluebeam experience
· Knowledge of print production workflows, bleed, scaling, color management, and file packaging
