Warehouse Supervisor (B Shift Supervisor)

JOB PURPOSE

To maximize daily operational efficiency through leadership, guidance and training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supervises the pick, pull, prep, and return of orders on Saturday and Sunday
  2. Supervises warehouse staff.
  3. Supports efficient warehouse processes.
  4. Offers after-hours support for Rental Reps.
  5. Maintains barcode installation integrity.
  6. Manages building security and theft prevention.
  7. Oversees prep space

SUPERVISES EFFICIENT THE PICK, PULL, PREP, AND RETURN OF ORDERS BY:

  • Ensuring appropriate amount of labor is available to execute orders.
  • Ensuring all orders are completed by date shown in Nexus.
  • Answering questions from warehouse staff about order and inventory discrepancies.
  • Alerting COD about Nexus inventory discrepancies.
  • Optimizing and using all available staging space in the warehouse by using isles, trailers, or outside spaces to maximize efficiency.

SUPERVISES WAREHOUSE STAFF BY:

  • Supplying guidance and feedback to employees when needed in the form of verbal and written counselling.
  • Making recommendations to ROD for internal promotions or new hires to Department Head. Positions of Dept. Head and above require ROD level approval.
  • Ensuring staff follow Christie Lites safety policies and relevant government regulations.
  • Making proper use of temporary labor services. Avoid using labor services as a "permanent" fix for staff shortages.
  • Ensuring staff are properly trained to perform the functions asked of them.

SUPPORTS EFFICIENT WAREHOUSE PROCESSES BY:

  • Keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
  • Ensuring the warehouse has proper hardware, storage systems, tools, and machinery.
  • Making updates to inventory as needed.

OFFERS AFTER-HOURS SUPPORT FOR RENTAL REPS BY:

  • Being available to deal with show critical issues on an after-hour basis.
  • Ensuring warehouse is available to be opened 24/7 in case of emergency.

MAINTAINS BARCODE and RFID INSTALLATION INTEGRITY BY:

  • Managing the installation of barcodes and RFID stickers on new products.
  • Performing barcode swaps as necessary.

MANAGES BUILDING SECURITY AND THEFT PREVENTION BY:

  • Ensuring the building is locked and alarm is armed when building is not occupied.

OVERSEES PREP SPACE BY:

  • Delivering a positive experience to incoming crews.
  • Helping prep crews resolve issues around prep.
