Job description

Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This positions primarily consists of picking books and other materials from racks and packing in boxes for orders to ship.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to pick product from racks
  • Package products according to work orders
  • Label boxes
  • Build displays according to work orders
  • Must be able to work safely around moving equipment and conveyors
  • Operate various types of equipment, i.e., pallet jack, tape guns, stickering machines, electronic handheld devices, RF scanners, headsets, etc.
  • Work in a non-climatically controlled environment throughout the year.
  • Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for entire shift.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend a basic order form and communicate well with others.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform rework as required
  • Must meet or exceed departmental standards for production, quality, and accuracy
  • May work in different areas (departments) in operations based on business needs
  • Adheres to facility hours to include overtime and weekends
  • Other duties as assigned

    Starting Salary: 2nd shift = $17.00 per hour + $2.00 shift differential = $19.00

    Location: Algoa, McCarty and/or Robinson Road Buildings

    • Hours for 2nd shift:
    • Algoa/East McCarty/Rob Road - Monday-Friday = 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with OT at end

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
    • Refer to the Physical Demand Analysis

    Qualifications:

    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • Must have basic data entry skills
