Electrician
Novi, Michigan
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in a fast-paced machine tool manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient professional who can perform a full range of electrical activities independently, with little to no guidance from a Skill Trades Leader. What You'll Do
  • Wire machinery from engineered drawings and bill of materials
  • Wire panels, safety circuits, auxiliary power, and 480V systems
  • Install and wire Ethernet, communication blocks, and DeviceNet
  • Wire and integrate industrial robots into machine systems
  • Tie in and perform final dress of tools to controls
  • Install temporary power and bend/install conduit
  • Prepare tools with I/O blocks and duct work
  • Verify and tag units, cords, and components per customer requirements
  • Run and dress cords to meet customer specifications
  • Drill, tap, and ream holes as required
  • Operate hand saws, drill presses, and grinders

What You'll Need
  • Proven, hands-on experience as an Electrician in a machine tool or industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and bills of materials
  • Strong knowledge of 480V systems, safety circuits, and industrial controls
  • Familiarity with DeviceNet, Ethernet wiring, and robotic systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Required Tools
All candidates must arrive onsite with the following tools - tools will not be supplied.
  • VOM (Multi-meter)
  • Straight blade screwdrivers (small & medium) and #1/#2 Phillips screwdrivers
  • Channel locks (2 pair), side cutters/flush cutters
  • 1/0 cable cutters, wire stripper, cable strippers
  • Stakon crimpers (wire sizes #10-#14)
  • Razor knife, small ball peen or brass hammer, center punch
  • Tape measure (metric & standard), combination square, torpedo level with magnetic base
  • Allen wrenches, socket wrench set, combination wrench set, and crescent wrenches (metric & standard)
  • Files (small & medium), tap handle
  • Air nozzle, air drill, air die grinder, air 90° polisher
