Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow doctors Prescriptions.
  • Follow Safety Procedures.
  • Build appliances per lab design/doctors' specifications.
  • Must be able to clean and maintain workspace and machines.
  • Keep up with technician bench case location, complete tasks, etc.
  • Trim models as needed using a knife or handpiece, fit bands to models, bend wires and or gears using hand tools, weld wires to bands using Laser Welder, solder appliance together using hydro flame, clean appliance using ultrasound, polish appliance using high speed lathe, seat appliance back on model and have checked for inspection
  • 3x3's bend wire using hand tools, add light cure composite if needed, make transfer tray if needed using Bio star, trim tray with hot knife and seat back on model.
  • IDB Brackets: Trim model as needed using wet model grinder. Measure and mark model for bracket placement, affix brackets to model using lab adhesive and silicone. Make IDB tray using Bio Stat, trim tray with hot knife and seat back on model have checked for inspection.
