Job description

Manager of Production: Temporary - Maternity Leave Coverage | 3 Months | Full-Time, In-Person Role | Nashville, TN

About us:
Imogene + Willie is a Nashville-based denim and apparel brand built on craftsmanship, considered design, and a deep commitment to quality. Our small, hands-on team works closely across design, development, production, and operations to bring every garment to life — from fabric sourcing through finished product. We value people who are detail-oriented, organized, take ownership of their work, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Manager of Production for a 3-month, full-time temporary position covering a maternity leave on our production team. This role works directly with our COO and our existing Manager of Production to support the production team and keep production moving smoothly during the coverage period. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with apparel production experience who enjoys a fast-paced, detail-heavy role and wants to plug into a tight-knit, mission-driven brand.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with our ongoing systems implementation, including support of the Sync platform rollout for production and inventory uploads
  • Issue cut tickets to our Los Angeles sewing facility
  • Assist with trim purchasing and coordinate timing with production needs
  • Issue purchase orders and follow up with vendors on order status, delivery, and any open items
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and update costing files accordingly
  • Send WIP (work-in-progress) reports to laundries and coordinate updates
  • Send projections to laundries to plan for upcoming cuts
  • Provide additional production support to the team as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience in apparel or denim production, ideally including cut tickets, vendor management, and trim/fabric purchasing
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Comfort working in production and inventory systems; experience with Sync, a PLM, or similar tools is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel and the ability to work quickly across costing files, WIP reports, and projections
  • A Clear, professional communicator — comfortable working directly with vendors, laundries, and a sewing facility
  • A self-starter who can pick things up quickly and work independently within a small team
  • Someone available to work full-time, on-site in Nashville, for the full 3-month coverage period
  • Someone available to start as soon as possible and work through end of August
