Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing complex industrial process systems or power utility systems. You will have advanced skills in the following areas: problem solving, communication, time management, and organizational skills - plus working independently on designs while thriving in a collaborative team setting to execute projects. This is a hybrid role allowing for flexibility from either our St. Louis, MO headquarters office or our Charlotte, NC office for a full time Mechanical Engineer role.

Requirements for the role include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
  • 5 years (minimum) to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Revit and Trane Trace 3D plus load calculation software
  • Experience with design and plan for HVAC and MEP systems across various project types
  • Fire protection system design specifications
  • Experience with mechanical building systems in industrial settings
  • Conduct on-site surveys, documenting conditions and identifying client capex desires
  • Respond to RFP's, develop proposal letters, fee estimates and client relationships
  • Collaborate with project teams, architects, and other engineering disciplines to execute project
  • Drive projects to completion on schedule, with periodic site visits and client meetings as needed
  • Create construction drawings and specifications for bidding and building phases
  • Coordinate contractor submittals, assist with RFI responses, and support equipment procurement

Preferred skills:
• Licensed professional - PE (not required, but is preferred)
• Knowledge of construction methods, material handling equipment, and overall diverse work experience
