Certified Sterile Processing Technician

Evening Shift/Tuesday - Friday, 10 hours 1200-2230. / 36hours

Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

In-Office | Sonora, CA, United States

Responsibilities

  • Perform sterile processing steps following standard procedures and safety protocols.

  • Manage decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and storage of instruments.

  • Verify instrument counts and documentation for traceability and compliance.

  • Participate in ongoing training to expand competencies and advance roles.

  • Prepare and scan items into the tracking system for real-time visibility.

  • Coordinate with surgical teams to anticipate instrument needs and turnaround times.

  • Adhere to and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and metrics.

  • Escalate any discrepancies or safety concerns promptly to supervision.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure equipment safety checks.

  • Support on-site workflow with a results-driven mindset and measurable outcomes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize pipelines and throughput.

  • Document training records and certifications for regulatory audits.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Sterile processing technician certification or eligible certification.

  • Experience with decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and storage workflows.

  • Strong attention to detail for instrument counts and quality checks.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and KPI-driven performance.

  • Strong safety mindset; escalate discrepancies promptly.

  • Ability to perform instrument tracking and traceability documentation.

  • Proficiency with tracking systems and real-time item scanning.

  • Experience coordinating with surgical teams and anticipating instrument needs.

  • Maintain clean, organized work area; perform equipment safety checks.

  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and role advancement.
