Job description

Job Title: Operations Logistics & Inventory Coordinator
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Professional to join our operations management team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the daily success of a large-scale industrial facility, overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, and procurement support. You will utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office to track critical assets, coordinate with vendors, and ensure the seamless distribution of materials across multiple departments. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to start a career in industrial logistics within a safe, organized, and mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Inventory Control & Auditing: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational demands. Conduct regular audits and reconcile digital records with physical counts to ensure total accuracy.
• Warehouse Management: Oversee the safe storage, labeling, and handling of goods, equipment, and supplies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in strict compliance with OSHA standards.
• Procurement Support: Assist in communicating with supply vendors, obtaining price quotes, and maintaining documentation for purchase orders and shipping records.
• Systems Administration: Use CMMS software to schedule and review work orders, ensuring accurate data entry for replacement parts, equipment, and industrial chemicals.
• Operational Optimization: Identify deficiencies in warehouse workflows and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and organizational standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Department Managers and technical staff to source materials and third-party services essential for continuous operations.
• Safety Leadership: Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in conducting ongoing safety programs to maintain a secure work site.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and a high level of comfort learning new data management or inventory systems.
• Core Skills:
oBasic knowledge of supply chain processes and warehouse operations.
oStrong organizational skills with a high commitment to accuracy.
oTechnical problem-solving abilities and a team-focused mindset.
• Logistics: Valid New Mexico Driver's License and the ability to walk/travel to various onsite locations to coordinate with technicians.
• Physical Ability: Capability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) as required for safe material movement.
Preferred Credentials
• Experience with ERP, CMMS, or Asset Management systems.
• Familiarity with industrial safety practices and state/federal procurement regulations.
• Previous experience in a specialized industrial or utility setting is a significant plus.
