Head of Performance & Attribution

The Head of Performance & Attribution provides enterprise leadership for performance & attribution as a core investment enablement capability. This role defines the strategic direction for investment performance and attribution across the firm, ensuring the function supports investment decision-making, client reporting, platform modernization, and data-driven operating excellence.

What is Franklin Templeton Services (FTS) Responsible for?

The Head of Performance & Attribution is a key leader within Franklin Templeton Services (FTS), which is responsible for core operational capabilities that support Franklin Templeton's investment platform, including fund accounting, investment operations, client reporting, investment data, and shareholder servicing. With a broad global footprint, the organization provides the scale, controls, and service infrastructure needed to support investment execution, oversight, reporting, and client delivery across regions and business lines.

What are the ongoing responsibilities?
  • Owns thefirmwide investment performance and attribution visionaligned to investment philosophy, client experience & expectations, and platform strategy.

  • Shapes how investment performance and attribution informsinvestment decisionmaking, product design, and portfolio construction.

  • Sponsors major transformation initiatives (e.g., enterprise platform transitions, AIenabled analytics, data strategy).

  • Global Investment Performance and Attribution Leadership
    Own the endtoend investment performance and attribution function across equity, fixed income, and multiasset, ensuring consistent standards, governance, and quality globally.

  • Insight & Decision Support
    Deliver clear, investmentrelevant investment performance and attribution insights that explain portfolio results and support portfolio manager dialogue, fund boards, and client reviews.

  • Operating Model & Controls
    Establish and maintain robust investment performance and attribution governance, controls, KPIs, and escalation frameworks to ensure accuracy, transparency, and auditability.

  • Data, Systems & Transformation
    Champion data quality and process excellence; partner with technology and data teams to enhance investment performance and attribution platforms, automate controls, and support major transformation initiatives.

What will help you be successful in the role?
  • A minimum of 10+ years of asset management experience, including significant expertise in investment performance and attribution.

  • Demonstrated leadership of complex investment performance and attribution teams or related investment operations functions in a global environment.

  • Deep knowledge of attribution methodologies across equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternative strategies.

  • Experience with leading analytics and investment data platforms, including solutions such as Aladdin, FactSet, and Bloomberg.

  • Hands-on experience with Aladdin, including its application across investment workflows, performance analytics, and operating model transformation.

  • Deep knowledge of GIPS and other related investment performance methodologies.

  • Executive presence and change leadership capability, with the adaptability and resilience to lead through transformation, align teams, and drive enterprise-wide adoption in a dynamic environment. Bachelor's degree required; CFA and/or CIPM preferred.
