We’re looking for an Inventory Specialist who takes pride in keeping things organized, accurate, and moving smoothly. In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain real-time inventory across our Orland and Bronson facilities, making sure materials are properly tracked, stored, and ready to support production. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Execute structured cycle counting of raw materials and finished goods
- Investigate inventory variances and determine root causes
- Maintain established inventory accuracy targets
- Prepare and submit regular reports on counts, variances, and corrective actions
- Ensure accurate, real-time inventory transactions in ERP system (Jobboss or equivalent)
- Verify production quantities before inventory updates
- Identify and escalate transaction issues impacting inventory accuracy
- Support team adherence to proper inventory processes
- Pick, stage, and verify materials for production jobs
- Confirm finished goods are properly entered into inventory
- Resolve discrepancies between job requirements and inventory records
- Collaborating with production to improve material flow and accuracy
- Maintain clear, labeled inventory locations
- Organize raw materials and finished goods storage areas
- Eliminate inefficient or temporary storage practices
- Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
- Serve as the primary owner of inventory accuracy across both facilities
- Track and report key metrics (accuracy, adjustments, variances, aging inventory)
- Escalate recurring issues affecting inventory integrity
- Support annual physical inventory processes
- Verify inventory levels prior to material ordering
- Communicate material needs to appropriate team members
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–5 years of inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain
Work Environment:
This role supports multiple manufacturing facilities and moves between two locations, with approximately 80% of time spent in Orland, IN and 20% in Bronson, MI. Regular domestic travel is required. Work environments include production settings with varying noise levels, temperature changes, and industrial conditions. Appropriate PPE is required when on the production floor.
