Temporary Inventory Cycle Counters are workers hired on a short-term basis to count and verify inventory in warehouses, stores, or distribution centers. Their main job is to perform regular cycle counts, which involve checking specific items or locations to ensure inventory records match the actual stock on hand. This helps companies maintain accurate inventory data, identify discrepancies, and prevent stockouts or overages. Temporary cycle counters often work during inventory audits, peak seasons, or when companies need extra help to manage stock accuracy.

Experience with inventory management systems, barcode scanners, and spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel is commonly required. Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are valuable soft skills in this role. These skills ensure accurate inventory counts, minimize discrepancies, and support efficient warehouse operations.
