About Dana-co
Dana-co is a leading designer and manufacturer of intimate apparel, with a portfolio of brands recognized for innovation, craftsmanship, and exceptional fit. We are seeking a talented Fashion CAD Designer / Illustrator to join our creative team on a temporary, project-based basis. As our business continues to grow, this role has the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly creative and technically skilled designer who enjoys bringing concepts to life while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
You'll partner closely with our Design team to transform creative concepts into polished CADs, technical artwork, and presentation-ready illustrations. The ideal candidate has experience in intimate apparel, sleepwear, loungewear, or women's fashion and possesses a strong understanding of garment construction, color, print, and silhouette.
We welcome candidates who thoughtfully leverage AI-powered creative tools to enhance creativity and productivity while maintaining a high standard of originality, technical accuracy, and design excellence.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Designers to create detailed CADs, technical sketches, and fashion illustrations.
  • Translate design concepts into production-ready digital artwork and technical specifications.
  • Develop garment mock-ups, colorways, print layouts, and presentation materials.
  • Revise artwork based on creative feedback while meeting project deadlines.
  • Maintain consistency with brand standards across multiple brands and product categories.
  • Utilize AI-assisted creative tools, where appropriate, to support ideation, visualization, and workflow efficiency while ensuring all final work reflects Dana-co's quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Fashion CAD Designer, Illustrator, or Graphic Designer within the fashion industry.
  • Experience designing intimate apparel, lingerie, sleepwear, loungewear, or women's apparel.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with InDesign is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative platforms (such as Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, Midjourney, or similar tools) as part of a modern design workflow.
  • Strong technical illustration and garment rendering skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret creative direction.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Teams and other collaborative tools.
  • Experience supporting apparel product development from concept through production is a plus.

Why Join Dana-co?
  • Opportunity to work with an established leader in intimate apparel.
  • Collaborate with a talented and experienced design team.
  • Contribute to multiple brands and product categories.
  • Potential to transition into a permanent role based on business needs and performance.
