Job description

Position Summary:  
The Instrument Fitter is responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, or maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, or industrial production processing systems.  
  
Schedule: 4 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF 
  • 80.5 hours per week 
Work Location: North Slope, Alaska

Essential Job Functions:  
  • Fabricate and install supports, braces, and hangers for tube tray  
  • Mount and install instrument devices  
  • Layout and install instrument stands, and supports  
  • Layout and install various size tubing  
  • Read and interpret drawings and P&IDS  
  • Understand principles of measurement as applied to instrumentation.   
  • Knowledge of instrumentation tools and equipment  
  • Identify and proper use of instrumentation materials  
  • Proficient in measuring and calculating   
  • Other duties as assigned.  
Required Minimum Qualifications:  
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Vocational training/certification or other postsecondary education directly relative to this position.  
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.  
  • Five (5) years’ experience with the installation of common oilfield instrumentation, associated tubing, valves, and drains.

  • Must be self-motivated, punctual, and able to work independently
