Shift:              Monday to Friday - 3rd Shift, from 10:30 PM to 07:00 AM

Summary:

The Ssenior Manufacturing Engineering Technician will support the maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and production equipment. This role involves performing immediate and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, and supporting equipment calibration and validation. The technician will work with advanced manufacturing technologies, including PLC systems, SCADA, robotics, vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and offset and inkjet printing, while collaborating with Maintenance, Engineering, Molding, Scheduling, Production, and other teams to resolve equipment issues and improve operational performance. The role requires strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment documentation, and knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a safe work environment by following standards and procedures, aligning with legal regulations.
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Perform immediate and preventative maintenance for manufacturing production equipment.
  • Engages the Maintenance and Engineering team to challenge the status quo to make continuous operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with all appropriate departments/staff in progress updates, problem analysis, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Work with Molding, Scheduling and Production Manager on prioritizing machine repair scheduling.
  • Work closely with robotics, vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and off set & inkjet printing to produce finished assemblies.
  • Ability to work different shifts and respond to emergency calls as needed.
  • Sunday - Friday and could work over OT.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred education in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.
  • Technical/trade school certification in a relevant discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or a related technical role required.
  • Additional certifications or specialized training in calibration, electrical systems, or equipment-specific technologies preferred.
  • Experience with PLC systems, SCADA, and automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Experience with equipment calibration, validation, preventive maintenance, and related documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment documentation.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools and test equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems such as SAP and Oracle.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Proficiency in English required.
