Job description

Job description:

Overview
The Strainrite Companies is a U.S.-based manufacturer of high-quality filtration solutions with nearly 50 years of experience, serving the beverage and bottling industries, specialty chemical and API markets, process and high-purity water applications, life science and pharmaceutical markets, and inkjet ink production, among others.
All products are manufactured at our facility in Auburn, Maine, where we maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification, ISO Class 7 cleanroom manufacturing, and cGMP compliance for critical filtration products.
We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager who resides in the following locations: Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio to lead our Midwest territory as a long-tenured team member prepares for retirement. This role will focus on expanding market presence through industrial distributors, OEM partners, and direct end-user engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technical sales professional in filtration or fluid handling who wants to take ownership of an established territory with significant growth potential.
Unlike large corporate filtration companies, Strainrite offers direct access to leadership, faster decision-making, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on territory growth and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow an established Midwest territory with existing distributor relationships while identifying new opportunities for expansion across key markets.
  • Develop business through distributors, OEM partners, and direct end-user engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to convert competitive filtration products while providing technical guidance and application support across multiple industries.
  • Conduct customer visits, sales presentations, and technical discussions to promote Strainrite products and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, plant managers, procurement teams, and distribution partners.
  • Forecast sales activity, manage pipeline opportunities, and monitor market trends and competitive activity to provide actionable insights for territory growth.
Travel throughout the Midwest territory (up to 60%) for customer visits, distributor support, trade shows, and industry events
Preferred Qualifications
  • Resides in Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Minnesota.
  • 5+ years of technical or industrial sales experience, preferably in filtration, fluid handling, or related process equipment.
  • Experience selling through industrial distributors while also developing direct end-user relationships.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue, convert competitive products, and manage a multi-state territory independently.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with engineers, plant managers, and purchasing teams.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with strong organizational skills and willingness to travel throughout the Midwest.
Benefits:
  • 401(k)
  • 401(k) matching
  • Cell phone reimbursement
  • Company car
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Paid time off
  • Travel reimbursement
  • Vision insurance
