Job Description Join Our Team. Northern Staffing Services is currently seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Temporary Receptionist / Human Resources Administrator for one of our valued clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced office environment, and is looking to gain valuable experience in both reception and Human Resources.

If you have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and enjoy providing exceptional customer service, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do As the Receptionist / HR Administrator, you'll serve as the first point of contact for employees, applicants, customers, vendors, and visitors while providing administrative support to the client's Human Resources department. Responsibilities include: Greet and assist visitors, applicants, customers, contractors, and employees in a professional and friendly manner.

Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls. Maintain employee timekeeping records using Kronos and assist with payroll and attendance systems. Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department.

Prepare documents, reports, letters, and presentations using Microsoft Office. Assist with HR projects, employee records, and confidential documentation. Help coordinate meetings, customer visits, and company events.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception and meeting area. Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required (college coursework or business certificate preferred). 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources administration or a similar administrative role. Accounting knowledge is strongly preferred.

Excellent customer service and professional phone etiquette. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Experience with HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping systems such as Kronos, ADP, or PeopleSoft is a plus. Excellent organizational, recordkeeping, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
