Position Description

Travel: MICU RN

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week.

* Holidays as required by facility

* Every other weekend required

Our Medical Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed high acuity unit that provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients.

Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency.

The nurses work to collaborate with all disciplines of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Our team is dedicated to making our patient’s experience pleasant and comfortable in a safe and secure environment.

Education - Required

  1. Associated degree in nursing

Certifications – Required

· AHA ACLS

· AHA BLS

· AHA NIH

Or Red Cross

Certifications – Preferred

  1. AHA PALS – if working in pediatric unit

Licenses – Required

  1. Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)

  2. NURSYS

Experience - Required:

• 2 years experience; must have 2 years of experience in the field of specialty.
