Job description

Southeast Texas HR is seeking a dependable Kitchen Porter to join our team in the hospital and healthcare industry. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate. Pay will be $12.00+ per hour DOE. You may work up to 12+ hours a day. You will work between the hours of 8am-8:30pm.

As our Kitchen Porter, your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Maintain and clean all units and equipment according to local and hospital required food safety standards.
  • Empty fryers of oil and clean.
  • Put groceries up in the proper storage area.
  • Clean pipes throughout the kitchen.
  • Empty grease traps and dispose of oil.
  • Clean the ovens and coolers.
  • Maintaining kitchen cleanliness throughout the day.


Requirements

To be considered for this position you MUST meet the following:

  • Experience in cleaning kitchens in a restaurant.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts.
  • Must be able to obtain proof of immunization records.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Pass all pre-employment screening including background screen and drug tests.
