Job Description
The Opportunity:
The Human Resources Department at the American Girl Distribution Center in DeForest, WI is seeking a Temporary Bilingual Human Resources Associate to support seasonal hiring, onboarding, and HR operations during our peak business season. This role serves as a key point of contact between candidates, new hires, and the Human Resources team, helping to deliver a seamless and positive hiring experience from application through onboarding.
The Temporary Bilingual Human Resources Associate will support high-volume recruiting efforts by coordinating interviews, communicating with applicants, conducting interviews in both English and Spanish, processing employment documentation, facilitating new hire orientations, and maintaining accurate employee records. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and superior customer service in a fast-paced environment.
As a member of the Human Resources team, you will play an important role in helping attract, hire, and onboard the seasonal workforce that supports our Distribution Center operations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, HR administration, and compliance while contributing to the success of a dynamic and collaborative team.
This temporary position is scheduled for 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The assignment is expected to begin on September 9 and continue through approximately November 20.
What Your Impact Will Be:
As a Temporary Bilingual Human Resources Recruiter & Associate, you will:
  • Conduct high-volume interviews in English and Spanish for seasonal Distribution Center positions
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews.
  • Greet and assist applicants throughout the hiring process.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to applicant inquiries.
  • Conduct new hire orientations.
  • Process employment paperwork through multiple HR systems.
  • Complete background checks and ensure hiring documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Maintain candidate records and support onboarding activities.
  • Assist the Human Resources team with seasonal hiring initiatives and daily HR operations.
  • Deliver a positive, professional candidate experience while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) REQUIRED
  • Previous high-volume recruiting or mass interviewing experience preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience using multiple HR software systems or the ability to quickly learn new technology.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
