Positions are temporary and not eligible for benefits.Occupational SummaryDuke Temporary Service provides allied health support to Duke University and Duke University Health System.Positions range from surgical attendant to healthcare technician.Required Qualifications

Education

Work requires basic mechanical knowledge for assembly of equipment and the ability to comprehend and follow instructions normally acquired through a partial high school education. 

Experience

Six months experience in a hospital setting.

OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.

Certification

Current BCLS certification.

Skills

Basic mechanical knowledge for assembly of equipment and the ability to comoprehend and follow instructions.

Knwledge of sterile techniques.

Physical abilities to complete job duties which include heavy lifting, prolonged sitting, standing, and walking, ability to push, pull, climb, stoop/kneel, reach overhead and rotate trunk for prolonged periods.
