Temporary Glass Engineer Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Description

Collect, transport, and deliver laboratory glassware and plasticware in accordance with established handling and contamination control procedures. Follow approved procedures for the safe handling, transport, and processing of contaminated and non-contaminated laboratory items. Operate glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers, and ultrasonic baths. Prepare glassware, caps, and related items for sanitization using defined procedural steps. Inspect all processed glassware for cleanliness, residue, and structural defects prior to release. Maintain temperature chart recorders, equipment logs, and required documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Perform routine inspections and operational checks on glass wash equipment. Conduct routine maintenance activities, including monthly de-scaling and basic preventive maintenance tasks. Monitor glassware inventory levels and notify the Glassware Lead of shortages or deficiencies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of glassware processing and storage areas. Adhere to all safety procedures and proactively identify and report safety or operational concerns. Complete all required training in a timely manner and maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, security, and operational requirements. Mentor and train new team members as assigned. Collaborate with the team lead to identify and implement process improvement initiatives. Work closely with other laboratory support teams to ensure seamless delivery of services. Cross-train and provide backup support to other laboratory support functions as needed.

Basic Qualifications: Associate’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline OR High School diploma or equivalent with 2 or more years of experience in a laboratory or related operational environment Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in glass wash or laboratory support services Familiarity with autoclaves, glassware washers, or similar laboratory equipment

This is a Contract position based out of Tarrytown, NY.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
