CNC Manufacturing Programmer & Machining Specialist

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (Potential conversion after 90 days)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM | Saturdays, 6:00 AM-12:00 PM (56 hours per week)
Starting Pay: From $27.00 per hour (higher compensation may be available based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Manufacturing Programmer & Machining Specialist to support the production of industrial equipment and precision-machined components. Working under the direction of the Shop Foreman, this position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment while producing parts that meet strict quality and tolerance requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret machining prints, technical drawings, and production documents.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills for a variety of machining projects.
  • Develop and edit G-code programs using Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, or Heidenhain controls (experience with every control is not required).
  • Machine parts to tight tolerances, including dimensions as precise as 0.0005 inch.
  • Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
  • Produce consistent, high-quality components while meeting production expectations.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and a professional approach to daily work.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Work scheduled hours, including occasional Saturday shifts.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience programming and operating CNC machining equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret machining drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience with G-code programming and CNC machine setup.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain close machining tolerances.
  • Experience using precision inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
