This is a great opportunity for an engineer who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving complex business and technical challenges, and wants to help modernize claims technology through full stack development and cloud-native engineering.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own medium-to-large features and services end-to-end, helping modernize and evolve our claims technology ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities

- Create and maintain secure APIs and integrations aligned with enterprise standards
- Implement secure authentication and authorization patterns leveraging enterprise identity solutions
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot data models and application data flows across relational and cloud-native data stores
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues; improve system reliability, resilience, and performance
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related automation, testing, and quality tooling
- Improve observability using tools such as Datadog and Splunk, including dashboards, alerting, metrics, logs, and tracing
- Participate in discovery, estimation, technical design, story writing, and documentation
- Contribute to engineering best practices across code quality, testing, automation, and operational readiness
- Mentor engineers and help elevate team standards and execution
- Owns medium-to-large features end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing strategy, and production readiness.
- Leads troubleshooting and performance tuning (application and database).
- Drives API/integration work (Apigee patterns, identity/security considerations).
- Improves engineering practices (CI/CD, test automation, code quality) and mentors others.
- Ensures established standards for observability, deployment, resiliency, and developer productivity across teams.
- Partners with product, architecture, and security stakeholders; makes and communicates trade-offs clearly.
- Mentors team members and ensures High-Performing Engineering standards are chosen and monitored with the team
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, debugging, and design.
- Experience integrating systems via APIs and working with enterprise standards (security, logging, monitoring).
- Ability to work in Agile teams using modern delivery practices (iteration, experimentation, continuous improvement).
- Effective communication and collaboration; able to document and explain technical decisions.
- Experience and openness to utilizing AI Software Development Tools (GitHub Actions Copilot etc.)
You'll help deliver resilient, secure, and scalable claims technology that improves experiences for both customers and employees. Your work will directly support the systems and digital capabilities that help people when they need us most.
This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful business outcomes while working in a modern engineering environment focused on cloud adoption, full stack development, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
