IRONMAN World Championship: Cook 2, Full Time, Temporary
Rate of Pay: $29.70/hour
Schedule: Shifts from October 1 through October 14, 2026
Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii to be part of triathlon's most iconic event... As the host hotel for the IRONMAN World Championship, the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has openings for talented Temporary, Full time Cook 2 to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience from October 1 - October 14, 2026.
Brief Summary of Job: During IRONMAN World Championship period of October 1 - October 14, 2026: Responsible for the preparation of hot/cold items according to recipes and specifications set by the Hotel.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
  • Functions may include the following: fry cook, butcher, baker, broiler cook, breakfast cook, meat cutter, pastry cook and day cook.
  • Substitutes and/or relieves cooks assigned to junior stations.
  • Assists in the supervision and/or training of lower rated cooks.
  • Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

*Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time*
Knowledge/Education/Experience: Minimum of two (2) - three (3) years of hotel culinary cooking or restaurant cooking experience that includes advanced culinary skills. High school or equivalent education. TB clearance card required.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Ability to maintain good team member relations. Dependable.
