Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure guests have a great experience. Guest Service Agents interact with members and guests in a courteous and effective way while promoting resort facilities. Perform related duties as required to meet or exceed members’ and guests’ expectations. He or she must demonstrate excellent communication, organizational and customer services skills. The position is full time, year around and includes nights, weekends and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for guest information.
  • Courteously and effectively take rooms and amenity reservations while promoting resort facilities.
  • Actively listen and appropriately respond to guests & member’s inquiries and complaints, always remaining composed and courteous showing genuine empathy and sincerity.
  • Verify members and guests’ information and amenity cards.
  • Collect payment for all reservations and rentals.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the area daily.
  • Answer phones and take messages in a polite and courteous manner, following up in a timely fashion.
  • Notify the corresponding department when issues arise that may affect them, members, or guests.
  • Open and close the Guest Services department facility and prepare all necessary reports.
  • Complete various administrative and other duties as assigned or as necessary.
  • Follow established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and operational processes.
  • Communicate and cooperate with all levels of management and staff, vendors, and owners in a professional, courteous manner with a team-work attitude.
  • Practice proper safety techniques in accordance with resort, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude in Microsoft Office programs and general computer use required.
  • Customer service, hospitality, or sales experience recommended.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to effectively read, write and speak English.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, criminal background check, and drug screening required.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time without a break;
  • The ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements, and squeezing and overhead reaching.
  • Must be able to walk and drive outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat).

Compensation

Approximately $17.00 per hour, including estimated commissions with the opportunity to earn more based on sales performance.
