Job Description
The Student Success Coordinator is a temporary position created to support the Assistant Director of Student Success in delivering comprehensive student support services at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. This role assists with day-to-day coordination of the Whitman Learning Center, peer mentoring, major event programming, strategic initiatives, and leave of absence support. This position will also assist with data collection and tracking. The coordinator works collaboratively with campus partners and the advising team to promote academic achievement, student well-being, and a sense of belonging for undergraduate and graduate students.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required

Skills and Knowledge
  • Technology proficiency required including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), CRM systems, Orange Success, Salesforce, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities with high detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Experience with budget management and data tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community including students, parents, alumni, faculty, and administrative staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with operations of the Whitman Learning Center. Supervise Excel tutors, coordinate with CLASS, and manage tutor vouchers. Support delivery of workshops and seminars promoting academic success such as time management and study skills.
  • Assist with executing orientation activities for new undergraduate and graduate students. Support the peer mentor program by overseeing day-to-day program administration. Support major events including Convocation, Family Weekend, all-school picnic, and community-building activities.
  • Facilitate existing strategic programming initiatives including Whitman First (first-generation student support), mental wellness programming, and other priority areas.
  • Assist with leave of absence management, including assisting with the tracking of leave of absences, supporting re-enrollment procedures, and facilitating seamless transitions for returning students across all academic programs (undergraduate and graduate).
  • Support program assessment and data collection efforts. Assist with administering student surveys and tracking participation.
  • Assist with promoting financial opportunities and student success resources to relevant student populations.
  • Assist with budget tracking and expenditure monitoring in partnership with the assistant director of student success.
