SSVF Housing Navigator

Blue Valley Community Action (BVCA) โ€“ Family & Community Services
Full-Time: 36 hr work week | Non-Exempt | Office located in Omaha NE

Blue Valley Community Action is seeking a mission-driven SSVF Housing Navigator to support veterans and their families in securing safe, stable housing through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program.

This role plays a critical part in advancing a Housing First, participant-centered approach by removing barriers, coordinating housing placement, and promoting long-term stability and self-sufficiency for those who have served our country.


What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Enroll eligible veterans into the SSVF program and coordinate benefits access
  • Identify and secure safe, affordable housing options
  • Build strong partnerships with landlords and community providers
  • Assist with housing applications, inspections, and temporary financial assistance
  • Develop and support individualized Housing Stability Plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation and HMIS data
  • Collaborate with case managers and community partners to ensure seamless care

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in human services or two years of related experience
  • Experience in case management, housing services, or community-based programs preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driverโ€™s license, clean driving record, and insured vehicle
  • Commitment to confidentiality, teamwork, and participant dignity
