JOB DESCRIPTION
Wise Staffing Group has an immediate opening for a Process Technician in Decatur, Alabama.
Our client is a global manufacturing company specializing in the production of plastic film and advanced film products used across a variety of industries. This position may be assigned to the film production or offline coating areas of the facility.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Process Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, handling raw materials, completing quality checks, and making basic adjustments to keep the production process running safely and efficiently.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Read and follow work instructions.
  • Operate production equipment to manufacture film products.
  • Monitor machines and production processes to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Make basic machine adjustments when needed.
  • Identify and report machine, production, safety, or quality problems.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment and production issues.
  • Enter production information accurately throughout the shift.
  • Complete required logs, checklists, and production records.
  • Track raw materials, downtime, production amounts, and finished products.
  • Follow the production schedule and complete assigned work.
  • Load, handle, and monitor raw materials used during production.
  • Prepare and monitor coating solutions when working in the coating area.
  • Monitor material and chemical usage and report supply needs.
  • Handle production waste and place recyclable and nonrecyclable materials in the correct areas.
  • Change filters as required.
  • Assist with film breaks, blade breaks, machine blockages, and other production issues.
  • Feed materials into grinders and clear materials or cores when needed.
  • Complete required quality checks and record results.
  • Meet established production, quality, and performance expectations.
  • Help and support other team members as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Be punctual and maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The Process Technician should have:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely operate and monitor production equipment.
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to accurately complete production records and data entry.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and procedures.

  • Walk and stand for extended periods throughout a 12 hour shift.
  • Bend, twist, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, push, and pull as required.
  • Reach in all directions while performing job duties.
  • Perform repetitive and physically demanding production activities.
  • Safely perform the essential physical functions of the position.
