This Role is Tailor-Made for You Because:
The Archive Contractor at Tory Burch is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities at the Secaucus Archive facility. This individual will work on organizing and preserving past season corporate product across all categories.
A Day in the Life:
  • As an Archive Contractor in our Secaucus facility, you'll be hands-on with some of Tory Burch's most iconic pieces-preserving our history while ensuring the archive remains organized, accessible, and in pristine condition. Your day-to-day will include:
  • Archive Fulfillment & Coordination
  • Fulfill archive requests by staging garments and preparing shipments to the NY and NJ corporate offices.
  • Receive and process ongoing shipments of Corporate product, ensuring accurate intake and organization.
  • Collection Organization & Preservation
  • Organize Corporate archive inventory by category, season, and year to maintain logical and accessible storage systems.
  • Tag and rehouse garments across the Corporate, Vintage, and Personal collections using approved archival materials.
  • Perform routine object care, including condition assessments, hanger replacement, object vacuuming, and general collection upkeep.
  • Digital Archive & Documentation
  • Photograph garments missing images or requiring corrections and upload them to Tory Track, accurately associating with style codes.
  • Assist with the annual physical audit of archive inventory held at the Secaucus location.

Qualifications:
  • You are detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about fashion history and organization. You thrive in hands-on environments, working closely with garments and accessories to support the day-to-day operations of a high-volume archive. You bring a sharp eye, a methodical approach, and a collaborative mindset to everything you do. We're looking for:
  • experience in an archive, sample library, fashion showroom, or related environment (internships welcome)
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, silhouettes, and fashion terminology
  • Familiarity with archive best practices and object handling procedures
  • Experience in cataloging, classifying, or inventorying garments and accessories
  • Ability to lift and move inventory boxes and samples (up to 40 lbs) and perform physical activity while standing for long periods
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Excel, inventory systems, or digital asset platforms a plus
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • A Master's degree in Dress, Costume, Fashion History, Art History, or Decorative Arts is a plus
