Location: Cleveland, OH
Employment Type: Temporary to potential hire

Are you an experienced executive assistant looking to use your leadership and strategic operations skills in a top-tier medical academic environment? The School of Medicine is seeking a dynamic Executive Assistant to the Dean and Chief of Staff. This key role offers the opportunity to manage high-level priorities, oversee executive communications, ensure operational excellence, and play an essential part in shaping the school’s academic, research, and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the integrity of the Dean’s Office operations, manage complex schedules, and support budget monitoring in collaboration with the Chief of Staff.
  • Conduct research and analysis to prepare executive-level briefings, presentations, and reports.
  • Manage official communications, acting as a liaison between the Dean’s Office, university leadership, external medical centers, and community stakeholders.
  • Develop, assess, and implement administrative policies, procedures, and office support systems for greater efficiency.
  • Plan and execute meetings, events, and special initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment with institutional goals.
  • Lead and supervise an executive aide, providing guidance and performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate and drive special projects and represent the Dean’s Office in strategic committees.
  • Embrace modern technologies, including new AI tools, scheduling platforms, and data management systems for operational improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, healthcare, or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive executive support or office management experience (higher education or medical center setting strongly preferred).
