Description

The Data Analyst transforms internal and external data into clear insights that support sales, marketing, product, and retail strategy. This role partners with teams across the company to evaluate performance, identify growth opportunities, improve reporting, and support informed decisions. 

The position uses AI tools throughout the analytical process to accelerate research, develop solutions, automate routine work, and create effective deliverables. The ideal candidate is curious, detail oriented, comfortable learning new technology, and able to translate complex information into practical recommendations. 


WHAT YOU'LL DO 

  • Analyze sales, category, retailer, marketing, and competitive performance to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities. 
  • Gather, combine, and validate data from internal systems, syndicated data providers, distributors, retailers, ecommerce platforms, and other sources. 
  • Use Codex and other AI tools to support research, write and troubleshoot SQL or code, automate workflows, and improve reporting processes. 
  • Create dashboards, recurring reports, presentations, and ad hoc analyses that clearly communicate business performance. 
  • Support sales and strategic projects with retailer and category insights, including assortment, market share, distribution, pricing, and product velocity. 
  • Present findings and recommendations to Sales, Marketing, leadership, and other partners across the company. 
  • Review analytical work and AI generated output to ensure accuracy, sound methodology, and appropriate handling of company data.

Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Experience analyzing sales, marketing, retail, or other business data. 
  • Experience using AI tools such as Codex, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Gemini to support analytical, technical, or research work. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to turn an open question into a structured analysis. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. 
  • Working knowledge of SQL and experience with databases or cloud data warehouses. 
  • Experience creating clear reports, visualizations, and presentations. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines. 
  • A proactive approach and an interest in learning new tools, data sources, and business processes. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience using Codex or similar tools to develop scripts, work with APIs, automate processes, or analyze data. 
  • Experience with CPG or retail data, including syndicated, distributor, or retailer specific sources. 
  • Experience with BigQuery, Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. 
  • Familiarity with market share, distribution, velocity, assortment, pricing, and other retail analytics concepts. 
  • Experience creating customer facing sales presentations or data driven selling stories. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is primarily performed in an office environment and requires regular computer based work. The current expectation is onsite work, with any hybrid arrangement determined by company policy and business needs.
