Nursing Assistant (CNA, NA)

Work Schedule: 30% FTE positions available. Evening/Night: 7:00pm-7:30am. Likely Friday/Saturday nights every other week. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department.

Pay: UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay. This position may be eligible for a $900 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE). Additional components of compensation may include: evening and night shift differential, weekend differential.

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA, NA) to:

  • We are expanding services at East Madison Hospital on the Medical/Surgical Inpatient floors!
  • Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on an inpatient Medical Surgical unit and provide care to both medical and surgical patients.
  • Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. You'll assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and intentional rounding and performing 12 lead ECGs.
  • Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship to provide high quality care.

  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred

Work Experience:

  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care facility Preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire Required and
  • Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Trained Medication Aide (TMA) Upon Hire Required
