Job Summary:
Bartender - Yellow Pony Pub & Garden
The World Equestrian Center - Ocala is seeking charismatic and skilled Bartenders to join the team at Yellow Pony Pub & Garden, one of the property's most vibrant and guest-focused dining destinations. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building connections with guests, and are passionate about delivering memorable food and beverage experiences.
As a Bartender at Yellow Pony, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, crafting exceptional beverages, and providing attentive service that reflects the World Equestrian Center's commitment to Quality, Class, and Distinction.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a welcoming and engaging bar experience.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately, efficiently, and consistently.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of menu offerings, beer selections, wines, spirits, and specialty cocktails.
  • Engage guests in a professional and friendly manner while providing recommendations and enhancing the overall dining experience.
  • Ensure the bar area remains clean, organized, stocked, and presentation-ready throughout each shift.
  • Process guest transactions accurately through the POS system.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to leadership.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen team members, and fellow bartenders to ensure seamless service execution.
  • Support banquet, special event, and seasonal operations as needed.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry beverage cases, kegs, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity required to prepare beverages and operate bar equipment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business demands require.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, pub, resort, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining composure and attention to detail during busy service periods.
  • Experience utilizing POS systems and handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification or the ability to obtain certification within a designated timeframe.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
