Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment
Location: Houston, TX
Type: Contract to Direct
Compensation: Depending on experience
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 5 - 8 hours day
System One is e are seeking a high-caliber Mechanical Engineer to join an engineering team in Houston, TX. This role is a temporary field assignment working in maintenance and service department.
Mechanical Engineer is responsible for:
  • Perform inspections and diagnostic analysis of plant rotating equipment.
  • Rotating equipment troubleshooting and repair coordination.
  • Technical support for improving equipment performance.
  • Working with operations personnel for troubleshooting and best practices for operability.
  • Coordinate/assist with overall plant piping specifications development.

Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5-10 years of rotating equipment experience for industrial applications.
  • Hands-on experience working with pumps, pump seal systems, blowers/fans, mixers, and compressors.
  • Professional Engineer License
  • TWIC Card is a plus
  • Experience working with ASME and API Standards for rotating equipment and machinery.
  • Experience with developing and understanding Piping Material Class Specifications
  • Position requires significant exposure to vendor document review, detailed assessment of vendor design accuracy and specification compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and capable to perform detailed technical document and drawing checking
