Job Summary
This Individual is the liaison between the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) and the utility. In this role the person will provide technical and compliance support to various departments including operations, engineering, compliance, and work management. This role will leverage analytical skills and project management experience in support of pipeline safety and compliance. The Engineer will also support efforts to develop common standards and work practices for WEC Energy Group gas utilities.
Job Responsibilities
  • Primary Liaison between the WEGO and WG to PSCW on all pipeline compliance issues.
    • Develop responses to PSCW quarterly reports and other correspondences
    • Schedule and Coordinate PSCW audits of WG and WEGO
    • Accompany PSCW auditors on scheduled audits
  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategies designed to enhance a culture of compliance at WEGO and WG
  • Coordinate the Public Awareness Plan efforts across WEC
  • Implement strategies to provide assurance the WEGO and WG are compliant with all applicable rules, regulations, laws and other operational requirements throughout the organization.
  • Support the Pipeline Safety Near Miss Process by investigating near misses

This position is part of a job family (Associate Engineer, Engineer, Senior Engineer) where experience will be the determining factor. If you are currently in this Job Family, it will be a lateral move.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (May 2026 Grads will be included)
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet company standards for driving

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of gas regulatory codes, standards, and materials.
  • Knowledge of natural gas construction and field operation practices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to present information to a broad audience.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, planning, and technical writing.

Pay Range Minimum: $68,436.68
Pay Range Maximum: $135,761.08
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
