Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist with the development and execution of marketing plans to reach new and existing customer targets from brand awareness to program promotion.
Inbound and outbound marketing activities to include: brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns, create digital marketing assets, conduct market research, create video content, update/manage website, attend trainings/college events, involvement in internal marketing meetings, and manage various marketing requests.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in Public Relations/Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- OR -
60 college credit hours or more towards a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations/Communications, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum of one (1) year professional experience in business, educational, or non-profit organization.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Exceptional communications and writing skills.
Thorough understanding of marketing elements (both traditional and digital marketing) and market research methods.
Familiarity with web page design and formatting.
Skilled in the use of general graphic design.
Demonstrate ability to use journalistic storytelling techniques and copy editing.
Reliable in completing assigned projects in a polished and timely manner.
Dependable in use of College equipment, procedures and processes.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Content Management System (CMS) and Canva.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Social Media scheduler (i.e. HootSuite, Buffer), Canva and other marketing tools.
