We are pleased to announce the establishment of our new Central Billing Office (CBO), created to support the continued growth and operational needs of our multi-specialty oncology practice. This dedicated department will serve as a centralized resource for revenue cycle functions, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and high-quality service for both patients and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Medical claim data entry into practice management system from pre-coded visit list
  • Enter patient demographics and insurance information into practice management system
  • Maintain patient privacy according to applicable laws and regulations
  • Perform data entry tasks & verify accuracy of said data
  • Prepare various reports
  • Gather information from hospital portals
  • Contacting patients by phone to obtain necessary information
  • Other projects & duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of medical insurance carriers preferred
  • Working knowledge of CPT/diagnosis/modifiers and related information required for claim submission preferred
  • Ability to obtain information from hospital portals and contacting patients by phone required
  • Previous experience in healthcare or medical setting preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software required
  • Experience with data entry systems/dashboards preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations will be offered to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, a calculator, telephone, copier and other such office equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.
