ITnova is seeking a Vendor Master Data Cleanup - Analyst II, this position will be responsible for analyzing, cleansing, validating, and standardizing Vendor Master data to improve data quality, accuracy, and integrity across the organization. This role will work closely with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Data Governance, and technical teams to identify data issues, implement corrective actions, establish data quality standards, and support the creation of a trusted Vendor Master "golden copy" repository. This role is a temporary 13 week position starting July 1, 2026.
Responsibilities:
Vendor Master Data Analysis & Cleansing
  • Use Excel, Databricks, and similar tools to analyze Vendor Master data and identify issues related to completeness, accuracy, consistency, validity, uniqueness, and integrity.
  • Identify and resolve duplicate, obsolete, invalid, or inactive vendor records in accordance with defined rules (merge true duplicates, inactivate obsolete vendors, archive invalid records).
  • Flag vendors with no procurement, payment, contract, or sourcing activity for review by Procurement and Accounts Payable.
  • Validate vendor names to ensure they reflect legitimate legal or trade names; flag placeholder, system-generated, or non-descriptive entries.
  • Standardize and validate vendor contact and location data, including phone numbers, addresses, city/state/ZIP, and EINs.
  • Identify and flag missing, malformed, duplicate, or non-standard data for remediation using established validation rules and authoritative sources (e.g., USPS, IRS).
  • Perform additional data cleansing as new anomalies are identified during analysis.

Data Quality & Governance
  • Conduct post-cleanup reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of Vendor Master data.
  • Define and document data cleansing, consolidation, inactivation, and exception-handling rules in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Partner with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Data Governance teams to enforce data quality standards.
  • Identify root causes of data quality issues and recommend process, system, and control improvements.

Data Migration & Reporting
  • Support migration of cleansed Vendor Master data into Databricks to establish a trusted "golden copy."
  • Provide weekly status updates to the BST Program Manager and participate in project status meetings.
  • Maintain project documentation and escalate risks and issues as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in data analysis, data management, or data quality initiatives.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing data profiling, validation, cleansing, and deduplication activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for data improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) programs and methodologies.
  • Experience using Databricks or similar data analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and reporting.
  • Experience supporting data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management initiatives.
  • Familiarity with procurement, accounts payable, vendor management, or financial systems data.
