Job description

Overview:As a Scheduling Supervisor (Monday to Friday) for the Peel/Halton Regions, you will be responsible for independently managing, establishing, maintaining, and reviewing work schedules. You would match available guards to posts, notify employees of schedules and changes and control costs through the implementation of effective scheduling strategies.  

This position is for a full-time temporary vacancy effective Sept 2026-October 2027 to cover a maternity leave.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9AM-5PM (40 hours per week) with occasional overtime during payroll days. 

Salary: $25.00/hr

Key Job Duties: 

  • Communicate and consult with District Management, Supervisors, Security Guards & Field Supervisors across Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to provide after-hours support with various operational issues. 
  • Always maintains site coverage; tracks requests for time off including vacation and personal leave requests to ensure site coverage; responds to emergency situations, call- offs, and absences to ensure that client sites have coverage; acts as call in center for remote posts. 
  • Function as first point of contact for inquiries, provide resolutions, as well as confirming the health & Safety of Security guards in the GTA. 
  • Escalate issues as appropriate, including unsafe working conditions. 
  • Providing documentation and corresponding with Clients and Securitas personnel via email. 
  • Prompt and accurate data entry for applications such as WFM for accurate timekeeping, payroll, and billing data 
  • Maintains current knowledge of site contracts and requirements of Security Guard training, availability and time worked. 
  • Coordinates the daily schedules and assignments of supervisory staff, briefs supervisors on changes to post schedules and new Security Guard schedules. 
  • Advises management of openings as they occur; matches Security Guards with site requirements and qualifications. 
  • Recommends removal of Security Guards from posts based on client complaints, attendance problems or other performance issues; advises management of any staffing problems that may arise as client requirements change. 
  • Maintains records of Security Guard qualifications, certifications and training and coordinates on-site training requirements with Site Supervisor to meet client needs. 

 Requirements: 

  • Highschool or College Diploma
  • Minimum of one 2-3 years of related experience in the security industry. 
  • Detail oriented.
  • Flexible to work both remote and in office when required. 
  • Solid planning and organizing skills. 
  • Solid customer service skills and results orientation 
  • Effective communication and people skills 
  • Strong customer service and results orientation 
  • Proficient in use of various software applications including MS Word, Excel, and email.
