POSITION: Quality Inspection Technician (Temp)

 What You Will Do:

  • Primary: Working at a Connecticut based A&D Industry Small Parts Distribution Center, your primary work will involve the review/processing of aero-engine hardware at Receiving as well as orders ready for Shipping. This will involve Inspection (gaging parts, visual review), the Verification of associated quality documents (availability, accuracy, and completeness), and the entry of technical data (Quality Records) into both internal customer systems/databases as well as their customer's data submittal portals.
  • Secondary: Support First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) packages creation by providing FAI Inspection and Quality Record verification for others.
  • Spot, segregate, and document Non-Conforming Material when encountered.
  • Interact w/ multiple computer systems / software .
  • Collaboratively engage daily with your Project / Team leader, Peers.
  • Help Quest Global grow while you learn and develop your career.

What You Will Bring:

  • AS-Technical Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 2+ years relevant experience to role
  • Alternate: 5+ years relevant experience to role with no / non-tech degree
  •  Other Technical Certifications (DQR, CQT, CQE - noteworthy)

 

Required Skills (Technical Competency) / Attributes:

  • Reading and applying Blueprints / Quality Requirements information to task,
  • Working level understanding of GD&T and how it relates to gaging.
  • Performing Manual Inspections using Hand Gages, Optical Comparators, and Advanced (Johnson) Thread Gages along with Visual Inspection and Digital Photographic documentation.
  • Obtaining, Reviewing, Comprehending, Verifying, and Compiling Technical Records and Quality documents - including C of C's.
  • Entering technical data into forms and systems / retrieving data accurately.
  • Supporting creation of First Article Inspection Reports (AS 9102 FAIR).
  • Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook (daily capable user).
  • Prior demonstrated ability to focus on semi-recurring tasks.
  • Operating in procedure based and regulatory controlled environments.

Pay Range: $25/hour - $35/hour. This is one of several 1st shift "Full-Time-Temporary" (5+ month) roles available now. 40 hrs/wk and potential OT. Customer operates 7 days/wk. Schedule: 8-4:30 Tuesday - Saturday (Note: alternate postings for 8-4:30 Sunday - Thursday). Possible end date extension or potential transfer to a permanent role in relatable work.

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Enfield, CT.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. 
  • Shop floor/Distribution site environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking/standing, and ability to lift 40 lbs. at times.
  • Safety Shoes required.

Travel Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no/minimal travel is required.

Work Authorization Requirement: Due to the nature of the work, "U.S Person" status is required.
