Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist for a full-time temporary travel contract in Glens Falls, NY. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled laboratory professional with expertise in cytology, Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) evaluations, and quality assurance.

Position Details:
  • Job Type: Temporary / Travel Contract
  • Location: Glens Falls, NY
  • Schedule: Day Shift (8-Hour Shifts)
  • Weekend Requirement: To Be Determined
  • On-Call: To Be Determined

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens for cancer and other pathological conditions.
  • Identify and mark abnormal findings while providing preliminary diagnostic interpretations.
  • Perform Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE) using telepathology during Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures.
  • Participate in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) activities to ensure compliance with laboratory standards.
  • Collaborate with pathologists and the laboratory team to deliver accurate, timely diagnostic results.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of Cytotechnologist experience.
  • Experience with EBUS, EUS, and Thyroid FNA procedures.
  • Active ASCP Cytotechnologist Certification.
  • Active New York Cytotechnologist/Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.
  • Experience using Epic EMR/LIS.
