The Role

 

This position is responsible for coordinate the handling of documentation and advances for clearance, delivery of freight after clearance, and monitoring and control all entry/entry summary preparation to ensure shipments are entered in accordance with the US Federal Code of Regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to clients.
  • Responsible for all Import of Air & Ocean shipments.
  • Work with forwarders on daily basis.
  • Ensure POD is supplied.
  • Expediting and tracing as required.
  • Determination of profit levels and billing.
  • Process required customs documentation.
  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of department processes.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
  • Intermediate MS Office experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

Physical Demands

 

  • Occasionally bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulder, and frequently sit, handle objects (manual dexterity), use fine finger movement.
  • Occasionally must carry/lift loads of up to 15 lbs.

Work Environment

 

Frequently read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyze.
