We are seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to patients across non-critical and critical care settings. The Respiratory Therapist will assess patients, provide respiratory treatments, manage ventilatory support, and work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver quality patient care.
Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Hours: 36 hours/week | 3 shifts/week
Pay: Starting at $29.89/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and provide appropriate respiratory care and interventions.
- Administer nebulizer and inhaled medications, aerosol and humidity therapy, and medical gases.
- Perform pulse oximetry, respiratory mechanics, PEP therapy, chest physiotherapy, and incentive spirometry.
- Provide invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor ventilator settings and patient response and make appropriate adjustments.
- Assist with intubation, extubation, suctioning, and bronchoscopy procedures.
- Respond to Code Blue and other critical response calls.
- Transport patients as needed.
- Verify physician orders and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, training, and mentoring of new staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Valid Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, provisional license, or temporary authorization to practice issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board.
- CRT or RRT credential through NBRC.
- BLS certification required within 2 months of hire.
- New graduates and candidates with 0–6 months of related experience are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical judgment skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $29.89–$44.84/hour
- $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
- $5,000 Relocation Assistance
- Sign-on and relocation incentives require a 2-year work commitment.
- Full-time schedule of 36 hours/week on nights.
