Job description

The Company: Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a non-profit organization in Escondido that opened in 2009. We are licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and offer independent, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. We seek to help our residents age in place as we strive toward of mission to "Honor God by serving others with love and compassion."
Available Shifts: NOC Shift 11PM to 7:30AM Tuesdays and Saturdays
Preferred start date - 9/1/2026
Job Description: We're looking for compassionate and dependable individuals who take joy in providing excellent, personalized care for those struggling with a temporary set-back or with the regular difficulties of aging. Our team of caregivers, seek not only accurate care but also enriching personal interactions for our residents. Residents and their families often comment that they love our staff's friendliness and dedication -- and we're looking for more people who share that mindset.
What we assist with:
Activities of daily living such as dressing and grooming, showers, medication management, light meal preparation, laundry, escorting to and from dining room and activities around the campus, and providing general support to help residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.
Qualifications: To be successful in this position, candidates must...
  • be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and basic physical exam
  • seek excellence in care, even in the little things we do for residents
  • maintain professionalism in following HIPAA standards and in promoting resident dignity
  • be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • be willing to work on weekends and holidays as needed

Our Assisted Living Community includes two main building and multiple cottages located throughout the property, so this position requires caregivers who are comfortable being active, walking (and using golf carts) throughout the campus and responding to resident needs across a large area. Reliable attendance, teamwork, and patience are essential.
Prior experience in care-giving is preferred. All caregivers will receive online and in-person training prior to working independently.
