Job description

Job Title: General Laborer – Construction Spotter

Job Description

This role supports a commercial construction crew by serving as a spotter, overseeing workers operating machinery, coordinating loading and moving of materials, and helping ensure all activities follow established safety standards. You will contribute to site logistics, assist with site cleanup, and support driver and machine operations to keep the project running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and spot for workers operating lifts and other construction machinery to help maintain a safe work area.
  • Monitor loading, unloading, and movement of materials to ensure safe and efficient handling.
  • Guide and communicate with equipment operators and drivers to prevent hazards and maintain clear work zones.
  • Support driver management by directing vehicle movement and helping coordinate site traffic flow.
  • Assist with general site logistics, including staging materials and organizing work areas.
  • Perform site cleanup tasks such as debris removal and general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe job site.
  • Adhere to and promote all safety standards and procedures while encouraging others to do the same.
  • Support mechanical and construction activities as needed under the direction of site leadership.
  • Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks required to support daily construction operations.
