Production Lead
Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers by performing the following duties. Directly supervises up to 30 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Summary
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Overseeing production staff and ensuring that team members are adhering to company policies.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Establishes priorities and/or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Ensure proper training of facility personnel on procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Answer internal corrective action requests.
  • Conduct interviews for new hires.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees.
